Monthly Favourites | March

Saturday, April 05, 2014

Sorry this post is slightly late but I suppose better late than never. This post is featuring some of my favourite products for March which is more skincare/make-up related. I have found myself trying so many products recently that my favourites are forever changing, but these are some of the products that I have used a lot of in March.

Soap and Glory Girligo Spray On Body Moisturizing Mist, RRP £6.50 Boots*
This product was bought to me by my lovely friend Grace. This smells absolutely divine, the scent is very similar to Miss Dior Cherie perfume but not as strong - I imagine it is made with similar ingredients. I really like that this moisturiser is applied by spraying this on your body as it applies a light coat on your skin which you can massage in. The results are fab as my skin feels soft and smells beautiful and is great for the price.

Ragdale Hall Restful Pillow Mist,RRP £5.00 M&S
I for one have always had trouble sleeping, I don't know why but I am just a very light sleeper. I picked up this product in the 3for2 Beauty offers at Marks and Spencers. Ragdale hall is a beautiful Spa located in Leicestershire which has recently collaborated with M&S to offer you a range of their products, I love that all of these products are cruelty free. I spray my pillow each night with this around 10 minutes before I go to bed and when you hop into bed you can smell the gentle scent of Lavender which helps you unwind and relax. I absolutely love this product, they also do a temple balm too which is great for headaches or even if you want to wind down.

Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mask, RRP £14.50 Liz Earle Stockists
I have been a big fan of Liz Earle products for nearly 10 years now and I am yet to find a product that I don't love. This product works best for Oily/Combination skin. Despite Liz Earle advising this should not be used for sensitive skin, my skin has always been sensitive yet this works well with me however I would recommend doing a patch test first to see if you will be okay. I treat my skin to a face mask once a week and this particular mask has a dark green finish, the main ingredients are green clay, manuka honey,  rose scented geranium and propolis which combined works wonders to leave your skin feeling instantly clean and refreshed.

L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream, RRP £9.99 Boots
I have been quite impressed with this product, I find it a mix of BB cream and Primer as this leaves a matte finish on your skin whilst adding a tint of colour. There are times through the month that I notice pores on my face more, this cream easily blurs pores before applying foundation. This product is very lightweight which I love as I find most primers leave your skin feeling cakey.

YSL Babydoll Mascara Sample 3.0g*
I picked up a sample of the YSL Babydoll mascara before I considered buying, mainly because I have really sensitive eyes and most mascara's irritate me through the day. I am very impressed with this product as the results are amazing, the mascara adds length and volume without leaving clumps. The mascara lasts well throughout the day and is also easy to remove. I was impressed that the mascara didn't irritate my eyes and I was able to wear this all day. Once the sample is finished I will definitely be purchasing the mascara as it really is amazing.

Find Perfect Purity Dermabalance Spot Treatment, RRP £14 Spa Find Stockists
Ever since my beloved Liz Earle Spot on was discontinued I am yet to find a spot/blemish treatment that actually delivers results. I picked this little beauty up at Eden Hall Spa and I am still yet to find a local stockist/website to buy this. The product is applied at night on any blemishes and leaves a white clay like layer where applied, in the morning you simply remove the product with warm water. I love this product as I really have noticed results after one use, I use this on spots, blemishes or even bites.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Shade Demure, RRP £7.99 Boots
I love the pencil style lipsticks as I think they are so cute. The shade I chose was a natural shade and has a creamy finish, the lipstick is peppermint scented and the nib of the lipstick is pointed so the product is easily applied and can add instant shape to your lips. This lipstick is perfect for day wear and I can't wait to get some other shades to try.

YSL Rouge Volupte in Shade 1, RRP £25.00
I don't know if I can really include this in my March favourites as it was only purchased last weekend but I love this lipstick. It is kind of pricey for a lipstick but this will be my special occasion lipstick. The lipstick is a pink/nude and beautifully creamy. My lips feel instantly nourished and are left with a gorgeous colour.
