It's Just Another Mani Monday #04

Monday, April 13, 2015

Sorry for the delay in posting my next entry in my #ManiMonday series - yes I did just hashtag in a blog. This is the first Mani Monday post of April, the reason being is I have been pretty lazy and I have been wearing the same shades featured in the other posts so I thought it was pointless to re-post these.

If you have read my other 'It's Just Another Mani Monday' post's then you will be proud that I have been a slight bit adventurous, and that is just a little slight. As the sun has been out, I thought it would be rude not to dig out some of my Spring/Summer polishes and I decided to opt for this little beauty by Barry M from their Gelly Hi Shine collection. This shade is Passion Fruit and is a cross between a red and an orange - it reminds me of the MAC Morange Lipstick so if you are a lover of that lipstick then this nail polish shade is perfect for you.

When the starts to come out, I absolutely love seeing nice, bright and colourful shades on people's nails and I always feel slightly (again that's ever so slightly) more tanned when I wear them as I am like a China Doll usually, so reds and nudes usually make me feel pale, but I still always wear them. I have always been a HUGE fan of Barry M polishes as they have a really strong pigment, the polishes wear for on average a week before chipping - this might be due to me having damaged nails so if you have really good nails then these should hopefully last longer - especially the Gel ones and they are so cheap at around £3/4 depending on the type of polish you pick up. Usually they always have offers at Boots where you can get three polishes for £7 - what a bargain!

I absolutely love this shade (quite possibly as it's so close to a red I don't feel too much out of my comfort zone) as this is from their Gelly collection this polish has a really glossy finish as well as the usual high pigment from Barry M polishes. I think this year I am going to be more adventurous as they have some amazing colours so hopefully I will be sharing these with you shortly.

Photo: Without Flash, Natural Light

It's strange as on all the photo's whether with flash or without it, this shade looks read but in real life I can strongly see the orange pigment. Anywho, it's still a great polish especially for Spring/Summer and I can see me wearing this a lot over the next few months.

What Barry M shades do you like? Do you have any recommendations for me to try?
