What I’m Looking Forward to this October

Saturday, October 10, 2015

Seriously, where has this year gone? I swear it was April like yesterday. Despite the year zooming by, I am quite content that it’s now October. Not only is Autumn my favourite season and it’s not long until Christmas BUT I am also getting married this month! In fact (whilst writing this post) I am actually flying out in a week and two days. Eeeep! So I have been on a writing blitz to make sure I have plenty of scheduled posts for my break, who knows I may be already married when you read this post! Ooh the excitement.
WEDDING
Most of you probably know that I am getting married on October 23rd, so of course the most exciting thing for me this month is my wedding! You probably also know that I am getting married in Spain which means I also get a two week vacay in the beautiful southern Spanish sun away from the typical UK autumn rain.
COSY
When the UK has its typical autumn rain, there isn’t anything more I enjoy doing than coming home from work and getting in cosy pyjama’s and fluffy socks and curling up on the sofa with my fiancé, my pug and a nice hot chocolate, either watching movies or catching up on my blogging. Ahh bliss!
FASHION
I just love Autumn fashion, and now that October has come with a hard blast of cold weather and rain there isn’t anything I love more than wrapping up with cute scarfs, cosy coats and a selection of my favourite boots. That reminds me, I need a new coat. Which means, Autumn wardrobe shopping!
BEAUTY
Likewise with Autumn fashion, I love Autumn make-up. The nudes, browns and plums are such gorgeous colours and I love having an autumnal makeup look. I also love purchasing new lip balms, as we all know living in the UK in Autumn our lips will get dry and horrible. So stocking up on my favourite lip balms will help my lips survive Autumn. Religiously, each year I pick up my trusted Burts Bee’s lip care which are literally the best lip balms ever.
NATURE
Autumn is by far my favourite season! Foggy mornings, crunchy colourful leaves falling from the tree’s, PSL’s. I love it all. I love waking up in the morning and popping outside in my dressing gown and enjoying the fresh, crisp autumn breeze. I love the feeling of being wrapped up in the cold, looking at the beautiful green, brown and orange scenery with a nice warm cup of cocoa (or a PSL) in my hand. The drive to work is always blissful as seeing all the autumnal colours and leaves fall from the tree’s just makes me smile. It really is a beautiful world we live in. Ahh the simple things.

What are your plans this October? What are you looking forward to?
